  1. Hello!

I came across your teacher blog and thought you would be interested in joining our contest..

Fibers.com and DonorsChoose.org have this his amazing contest going on where by designing a and submitting a t-shirt you can win prizes and help schools. The contest is designed as a fun and creative way to celebrate teachers, raise funds for classrooms in need, and enrich the students’ learning environment. We partnered with DonorsChoose.org, a terrific non-profit organization. It would be amazing if you posted about it. It’s for a great cause! Check it out here:

I can also provide you with a $30 voucher to create your own shirt. Let me know if you are interested!

  2. Hi there, Dan – and hope this note finds you well! I wanted to tell you about Mission US, an exciting new and completely free technology-based initiative. This fall, teens and tweens across the country are experiencing American history as never before with the launch of Mission US, a groundbreaking online game that invites them to become “players” during pivotal eras in the nation’s past. I thought this might be of interest especially since you have a connection with PBS and this program was developed by THIRTEEN WNET in NYC. The first engaging and entertaining mission is “For Crown or Colony?,” which focuses on events leading up to the American Revolution. (You can check it out at http://www.mission-us.org.). Of course, please feel free to share the details with any educators you feel might find the program useful as well – we’d love to let them know that this resource is out there. And please don’t hesitate to contact me if you need any additional info.
