NCSS in San Diego

Is finally here! This weekend San Diego hosts the annual conference for the National Council for the Social Studies. In an act of shameless self-promotion, I’m doing yet another revised version (updated from last month’s SDCUE version) of the Choose Your Own Adventure presentation I first did at NECC in 2006. If interested, it is listed for Friday at 3:45 pm.

  1. Hello there,

I have been fan of your blog for sometime. Unfortunately I haven’t been checking it as often as I would like. I am a grad student in the Secondary Education Program at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.

The idea of a Choose Your Own Adventure program sounds very interesting. I was a big fan of the books in my youth. I’d love to know more.

Also, myself and two other grad student have started a blog devoted to teaching current events with a focus on multiculturalism. I’d love it if you could check it out and give us some feedback. If not, I understand your a busy man.

    Keep up the good work.

  2. You should check out bubbabrain.com. It is a website to practice course content and vocabulary.

    1. Click on Juniors
    2. Click on the AP/IB drop down arrow and select a set of words.
    3. Click submit and play the game.
    4. The top left card will say “find this” and a definition will be listed below. Click on the term that matches the definition.

    http://www.bubbabrain.com is fun
